ThymeLime is built by one person who wanted a journal that stays a journal.
Hi — I'm Valentin, an independent developer based in Romania. I built ThymeLime because I kept running into the same trade-off: journaling apps that are free but read your words to power ads and "insights", or private apps that lock the basics behind a subscription. I wanted both things at once: a journal that works beautifully for free, and never treats your words as data to mine.
ThymeLime is that. It is a real product with a real business model — a single optional upgrade — and a hard rule that your content is never sold, never used for advertising, profiling, or AI training. The privacy policy is written to be read, not to be survived.
No ads, no profiling, no AI training on your content. Not now, not "anonymized", not ever.
Protected journals are end-to-end encrypted on your device. Shared journals are invite-only by design — there is no public feed to leak to.
Write anywhere; sync happens when you're back. Your journal should not need a network to open.
Full account deletion, honored within 30 days, no reinstall required. A journal you can't leave isn't private.
ThymeLime is in closed testing on Google Play and getting its last rough edges sanded off. When it ships, the button on the front page will take you straight to the store listing. If you want to say hi, report a bug, or ask anything: contact.
